Vow for Girls is the best place to help end the child marriage crisis.

For today’s engaged couples, celebrating their love and commitment isn’t their only priority. They also want to do good, according to new research. Nearly two-thirds of engaged couples say they will support a charity or cause as part of their wedding – and the top cause participants want to support is girls’ and women’s rights.

According to a new study examining “giving back” behaviors of 1,000 engaged couples, 64% are likely to support a charitable cause as part of their upcoming weddings or associated events, such as bridal showers and gift registries. That’s equivalent to 1.58 million weddings in 2022 based on wedding market data.

The study (below) was conducted by The Wedding Report in conjunction with VOW for Girls, a nonprofit organization that partners with the global wedding industry, brands, and individuals to end the international child marriage crisis.

“Now more than ever, couples are looking to align their purchasing dollars and their value – including with their weddings,” says Clay Dunn, CEO of VOW for Girls. “More than $60 billion will be spent on weddings in the U.S this year alone – the potential to make an impact while celebrating love is enormous. By aligning with nonprofit organizations like VOW for Girls around their weddings, couples have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create a positive impact.”

Join wedding industry titans in the fight to end child marriage! Titans such as leading bridal designer and CEO of Justin Alexander, Justin Warshaw – who recently joined the VOW for Girls Advisory Council following Justin Alexander’s ongoing partnership with the organization and their pledge to raise $100,000 for VOW in 2022.

When we first set eyes on this gorgeous styled shoot that took place in Jenner, California, we knew it had to be shared with all of you!

Hosted by Sonoma County Shootouts, these lovely shots were capturedin an area called Goat Rock near the mouth of the Russian River, known for its scenic shoreline and easily accessible sandy beach. With a background of crashing waves, how can it get any more quintessentially Californian? Oh – did we mention Goat Rock is home to a colony of harbor seals?

Every element of this coastal elopement proves that even if there aren’t a ton of people or decorations, you can still have a magical and romantic day. The small sweetheart table provides inspiration for those considering taking the elopement path to make it uniquely theirs’. Tones of orange, red and beige shrowd the display in joyous, boho vibes as the couple are framed by a wooden sunburst backdrop by Wild Horse Design Co.. The various boho bridal looks feature custom flowy gowns by Pineapple Gowns that are only enhanced by Floral Luxe‘s uniquely crafted bouquets.

“Our creative team of vendors made our coastal elopement dreams come true,” photographer Maryssa Souza says. “The neutral boho vibe was brought to life beautifully.”
